CHESS PANGOLIN · CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Stop a renewal or ask for a refund.

Cancellation and refund are separate actions. This page explains both routes and who handles them.

Who handles payment

Chess Pangolin is provided by CHESS STALLION LTD, company number SC898354. Paddle is the authorised reseller and merchant of record for subscription purchases, so Paddle charges the payment method, issues the receipt and processes cancellations and refunds.

Cancel future renewal

  1. Open Account & sync in Chess Pangolin and choose Cancel subscription.
  2. Confirm cancellation in the Paddle form that opens and check the effective date.
  3. Your paid access normally continues to that date. No further renewal should be charged after cancellation takes effect.

You can also ask Paddle Buyer Support to cancel. Deleting local browser data or the Chess Pangolin account does not cancel a subscription. A cancelled founder subscription may not regain its founder price if restarted.

Request a refund or exercise a withdrawal right

Use the refund link in your Paddle receipt, the billing portal, or Paddle Buyer Support. Paddle’s current Refund Policy explains the rules applying to the transaction.

For UK consumers, that policy currently describes a 14-day statutory withdrawal period for some digital-content and service purchases, including a subscription’s first payment and the renewal of a UK annual subscription. The right may be lost when digital content starts being supplied after you expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge the effect on that right. Mandatory rights for faulty, misdescribed or unavailable products are unaffected.

Paddle may also consider a discretionary request submitted within its stated period. The applicable policy is the version governing your transaction; this summary does not replace it or limit consumer rights.

If the product or access failed

Email privacy@chessstallion.com with the account email, Paddle transaction number, date, plan, and a short description of what happened. Screenshots are helpful. Never send a full card number or card security code. We aim to acknowledge urgent paid-access problems within one UK business day and other support within two UK business days.

We will check the account and try to restore access or correct the defect. If a refund is appropriate, Chess Stallion records the decision and asks Paddle to process it; you may also apply directly to Paddle. Eligible refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method where possible.

What happens after a refund

Paid access to the refunded product ends under Paddle’s policy. Local learning records are not deleted. A refund does not automatically cancel future renewals, so check the subscription status in Manage billing and cancel separately if you do not want another charge.

Duplicate charges, chargebacks and complaints

For a duplicate or unrecognised charge, contact Paddle promptly with the receipt or transaction reference. Paddle can identify the payment without receiving card details by email. You retain any lawful right to dispute a charge through your payment provider, but contacting Paddle first may resolve it faster.

For a product or access complaint, contact privacy@chessstallion.com. For a transaction, refund or Paddle-service complaint, contact Paddle Buyer Support.

Remember: cancel to prevent the next renewal; request a refund to ask for money already paid to be returned.
